Electric pressure cooker PRESIDENT
CHANGING OPERATING PRESSURE (LOW/HIGH) If needed, after selecting a programme, press the Pressure button and change the operating pressure from Low to High or vice versa, see table Overview of pressure programmes at the end of this manual. Notice: You can adjust operating pressure and the Cooking cycle time in the respective programmes also during the Preheating cycle and during the Cooking cycle, see below. DELAY If needed, after selecting a programme, press the Delay button. Flashing on the display will be the preset time in hours (06:00) remaining until the delayed start. Use the Time button to set the required time until the delayed start within the range from 10 minutes to 24 hours . An audible signal will sound briefly after the delayed start has been set and the display will begin to show decremental time until the automatic start of the programme. Notice: The Delay function is not available in the Fry and Yogurt programmes. With delayed start, always take into account the kind of food being prepared – the time should correspond to the hygienic conditions for keeping food at room temperature. We therefore recommend using a delayed start under 2 hours for preparing meat. Do not use the delayed start function at all in the Porridge programme and for preparing food containing milk. PREHEATING CYCLE An audible signal will sound and the On symbol will be shown on the display shortly after you have selected a programme and, if appropriate, changed the setting or after the time until the delayed start has elapsed. The selected programme will start and initiate the Preheating cycle. The pressure cooker will reach the operating temperature and create operating pressure during the cycle. The time of the Pre heating cycle will differ depending on the programme selected and the quantity and initial temperature of the food inserted. An audible signal will sound after reaching the operating temperature and pressure, and the pressure cooker will automatically switch to the Cooking cycle. Notice: Steam may escape from the operating valve opening or from the opening of the lock against accidental opening during the Preheating cycle. COOKING CYCLE After the end of the Preheating cycle, the pressure cooker automatically starts the Cooking cycle. The display will show the time remaining until the end of the cycle during the thermal treatment of the food. The pressure cooker will automatically maintain optimal temperature and operating pressure and will continuously release excess steam.
SWITCHING OFF THE AUTOMATIC MAINTAINING OF OPERATING PRESSURE (SEALING) AND AUTOMATIC RELEASING OF STEAM (VENTING)
Maintaining of operating pressure (Sealing) and releasing of steam (Venting) can be discontinued at any time by pressing the Venting button. The pressure cooker will maintain a safe operating pressure and stable temperature after this function has been switched off. The automatic maintaining of operating pressure (Sealing) and automatic releasing of steam (Venting) functions can be restored at any time by pressing the same button.
