Electric pressure cooker PRESIDENT
ENDING THE COOKING CYCLE An audible signal will sound after the end of the Cooking cycle and the food preparation process will end. The food is ready for serving or further treatment. If you do not serve the food, the pressure cooker automatically switches to the Keep warm cycle. Notice: Before opening the pressure cooker after the end of the Cooking cycle in the Legumes , Soup , Porridge , Preserving and Cake programmes, press the button for releasing pressure (Venting) on the control panel. Hold the button pressed for at least 3 seconds and wait until all steam has been released from the pressure cooker and the lock against accidental opening has slipped downwards into the lid. KEEP WARM CYCLE When the Keep warm cycle is initiated, the pressure cooker first gradually releases all steam and the display will begin showing the time elapsed since the beginning of the cycle. The pressure cooker will maintain the food in the pressure cooker at serving temperature (approx. 70 °C) for a period of up to 12 hours . If you do not end the programme manually during the Keep warm cycle, heating will be switched off automatically after 12 hours, the programme will be ended and the text OFF will be shown on the display. Notice: The Keep warm function is not available in the Yogurt programme. Heating will be switched off after the end of the yogurt preparation process and the programme will be automatically ended. ENDING A PROGRAMME MANUALLY To manually end a programme when needed, press the Cancel button during any cycle and end the selected programme. An audible signal will sound and the text OFF will be shown on the display. Notice: Always make sure after manually ending a programme that the pressure in the vessel has dropped completely, the lock against accidental opening has slipped downwards and the pressure cooker can be opened safely. MANUALLY REDUCING PRESSURE / REMOVING STEAM If you wish to open the pressure cooker immediately after the end of the Cooking cycle and accelerate the spontaneous drop in pressure in the vessel, press the button for releasing pressure (Venting) on the control panel. Hold the button pressed for at least 3 seconds and wait until all steam has been released from the pressure cooker and the lock against accidental opening has slipped downwards into the lid (7). Continue by pressing the button for releasing pressure (Venting) again to end the venting process. Set the operating valve to the position for releasing steam (Venting) and open the pressure cooker. OPENING THE PRESSURE COOKER Rotate the lid counter-clockwise to the end position; an audible signal will sound and you can remove the lid from the pressure cooker by lifting it (8). Notice: Be very careful when removing the lid from the pressure cooker as a small amount of hot steam may stay in the vessel even after the end of cooking – risk of scalding! SERVING FOOD For serving soups and rice, use the ladles that form part of the pressure cooker accessories (9). Always use utensils with wooden or plastic ends for handling food in the cooking pot and for serving food to avoid harming the non-stick coating. Notice: When filling the cooking pot and handling or serving food, make sure that the food does not soil the inside of the pres sure cooker vessel. If this happens, immediately disconnect the pressure cooker from the mains and thoroughly clean the soiled parts with a moist cloth and dry.
