Crepe maker GrandCHEF

Operating temperature setting Rotate the temperature control knob clockwise until the marker is positioned approximately at two-thirds along the line between the “0” (minimum temperature) and “max” (maximum temperature) symbols 2 . This setting is ideal for preparing traditional crêpes and most other dishes. Crêpe maker preheating After setting the operating temperature, the red heating-on indicator lamp will light up, signalling that the heating is activated. When the set temperature is reached, heating will pause, the red indicator lamp will turn off, and the crêpe maker will be ready to cook. Preparing crêpes Pour a small amount of batter onto the centre of the preheated surface 3 , then use the spreader to evenly distribute it over the entire surface 4 . Cook the crêpe for 30 to 60 seconds, depending on the batter’s consistency. When bubbles begin to form on the top side, flip the crêpe and cook the other side for approximately the same amount of time 5 . Remove the crêpe once cooked. Useful hint: You can also prepare many other dishes with the GrandCHEF crêpe maker, such as egg omelettes, potato pancakes, and more. Notice: The crêpe maker’s heating plate becomes very hot when the heating is on – handle with care. Use protective equipment such as oven mitts or similar tools. Automatic temperature maintenance The GrandCHEF crêpe maker features a thermostat that, once the heating is turned on, automatically maintains the set operating temperature by intermittently switching the heating on and off. When the heating is on, the red indicator lamp lights up and turns off when heating is deactivated. Note: The built-in thermostat produces sounds during preheating and cooking as it automatically maintains the operating temperature. This is normal and does not indicate a defect. Changing the operating temperature setting If the selected temperature seems too low or too high for preparing a dish, adjust it by rotating the operating temperature knob within the “0/max” range 6 . Switching off the crêpe maker After cooking, rotate the operating temperature knob to the “0” position and set the on/off switch to “0” to turn off the crêpe maker. Disconnect the power cord from the mains if the crêpe maker will not be used for an extended period. Cleaning Always disconnect the crêpe maker from the mains before cleaning. Clean the non-stick surface of the heating plate with a dry paper towel 7 . If the non-stick surface is heavily soiled, clean it using a mild detergent solution and a kitchen sponge.
