A Instructions for use Safety instructions Carefully read and keep the Instructions for use before use. The appliance may only be used with an electric power supply of 230 V. Intended for non-commercial, domestic use only. Do not use outdoors. Connect the appliance to a properly installed protective contact socket. Use the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. The heating plate becomes very hot during use. Always follow the instructions for use. The high temperature symbol warns of high surface temperature and the risk of burning. Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area. To ensure sufficient air circulation, leave at least 10 to 15 cm of free space on all sides of the appliance. Do not place the appliance on a gas or electric cooktop, on or into a heated oven or near such appliances. Do not allow the appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during its use. Do not move the appliance while it is connected to an electrical outlet. Allow the product to cool completely before handling it. Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use. The appliance is not intended to be operated with flexible extension cords, external timers, or separate remote control systems. Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product as the power cord could fray and break. Keep the product and its power cord away from heated surfaces. Never operate this product if it has a damaged power cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or exposed to water or other liquids. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not submerge the power cord, plug or the unit in water or any other liquid. Disconnect the appliance from the mains after use and before cleaning. Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning. To avoid electric shock, do not use the appliance if it is malfunctioning or damaged, and do not attempt to repair it yourself. The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury. Use extra caution when carrying the appliance.

Wipe the crêpe maker’s heating plate with a damp cloth and dry it. Apply a thin layer of oil to the non-stick surface and wipe off any excess with a paper napkin. Notice: The appliance may smell slightly during first use as a result of the heating elements being heated for the first time. This is normal and will not occur in further use. Connection to the mains power Use the crêpe maker on a flat surface. Use a suitable protective mat if necessary. Set the temperature control to the “0” position (heating off) and plug the power cord into a 230 V outlet. Switching on the crêpe maker After connecting the appliance to the mains power, set the on/off button to“I”to switch on the crêpe maker 1 . The green power-on indicator lamp will light up, indicating that the crêpe maker is ready for use.
