IMPORTANT NOTICE: Only drinking water may be filtered in the cartridge. In order to use the product in a responsible manner, we recommend checking water quality at the competent local authorities before use. Before first use Wash the vessel, reservoir and lid of the jug under running water, rinse and leave to dry. Cartridge preparation Remove the cartridge from the packaging, place it into a vessel with cold drinking water for 15 minutes, making sure it remains submerged. Shake the submerged cartridge to release air bubbles and allow them to escape from the cartridge 1 . Placing the cartridge into the jug Place the reservoir into the vessel, place the prepared cartridge into the reservoir and lightly press on it to make sure it is tight 2 . After inserting a new cartridge, discard and do not use the first 3 litres of water filtered. Cartridge capacity The cartridge remains efficient for a period of 1 month, the maximum amount of filtered water is 150 litres. Date tracker setting To check the cartridge use duration, use the date tracker in the lid of the jug. Rotate the arrow of the date tracker to set the month and week when the new cartridge was put in use 3 . Filling the jug Set the lid onto the jug, open the cap of the filling aperture and pour in cold drinking water with a temperature between 4 and 30 °C, until the water level is just below the top rim of the reservoir. The total volume of the jug is 2.5 litres, the amount of water filtered from one filled reservoir is about 1 litre. Notice: Filter only cold drinking water in the jug, do not use it for filtering any other liquids. Filtering drinking water Leave the water in the reservoir to run through the cartridge to the vessel 4 . Filtering takes 3 to 6 minutes depending on the condition of the cartridge being used. As soon as the water from the reservoir reaches the vessel, it is filtered and ready for use. For the cartridge to work properly, do not filter more than 5 litres of water per day. Serving filtered water Unfold the cap on the spout and pour the water from the jug into a prepared vessel 5 . Storing filtered water Keep filtered water in the jug in the refrigerator and consume it within 24 hours. If you have not used the jug for more than 24 hours, pour out the filtered water from the jug and continue using the jug as usual. If the jug is not in use for more than 48 hours (such as over the weekend), discard and do not use the first batch of water filtered. If the jug is not in use for more than 2 weeks, exchange the cartridge for a new one. Replacing the cartridge Replace the cartridge for a new one always after filtering 150 litres of drinking water and after a maximum of 1 month after the cartridge was put in use. Troubleshooting The water stream is diminishing until it stops during the filtration process The cartridge was not properly prepared for use – remove the cartridge and repeat the procedure described in the “Cartridge preparation” section. Air bubbles may in exceptional cases form inside the cartridge that prevent a continuous flow of water. Remove the cartridge, submerge it in water and allow the air bubbles to escape from the cartridge. Leave the cartridge to drain and place it back into the jug’s filtration reservoir. There are miniature dark solid particles in the filtered water The carbon of plant origin contained in the cartridge may exceptionally release small amounts of fine dark dust that is absolutely safe. Discard the water with the foreign particles, remove the cartridge and repeat the procedure described in the “Cartridge preparation” section. Cleaning Clean the water filter jug regularly 2 to 3 times a week. The vessel and the reservoir are dishwasher safe. Clean the lid under running water, use a gentle detergent solution. Clean the cartridge when needed under clean running water, avoid using chemical agents to clean the cartridge. Storage Store the cleaned jug without the cartridge inserted and with the spout cap unfolded.
