a Instructions for use Safety instructions Thoroughly study these instructions for use before first use. The appliance is intended for household use; do not use it for com- mercial purposes and outdoors. WARNING: The appliance may not be used by unattended children; it is not intended as a toy for children. Medically impaired per- sons and persons unfamiliar with the use of the appliance may use it only if they receive supervision and instructions. Always use the appliance on a flat, stable and clean working surface, out of the reach of other kitchen appliances, the minimum distance being 30 cm. Do not use the soup maker near a cooker. Supply with power from a 230 V, 50/60 Hz grid. For safety reasons, a damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre. The power cord must not touch any sharp edges or corners and surfaces with a high temperature. Hold the plug instead of pulling the power cord when disconnecting the power cord from the grid. If the power cord or plug is damaged, or is in any way limited in its functioning, stop using the soup maker. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. For security reasons, do not disassemble and repair the appli- ance yourself; in case of any failure, please contact a TESCOMA retail centre or service centre. For a list of these centres, go to www.tescoma.com . IMPORTANT NOTICE Do not leave the appliance to blend for more than 6 minutes at a time! If the appliance stops due to overheating, disconnect it from the grid, do not use it for 20 minutes, then connect again and continue blending. If the blades get stuck while blending, disconnect the power cord from the grid, lift the jar, remove the food which caused the blades to stop and continue using the appliance after the motor cools down. The appliance has built-in overheating protection. Protection by automatic switch-off is activated if the product is used in a non- standard manner or if the motor is overloaded. If the appliance cannot be switched on even 30 minutes after the protection was activated, bring it to a TESCOMA service centre for repair. NOTICE: To avoid risk due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device. Be careful when a hot liquid is poured into the soup maker as it can start to escape from the appliance in the form of steam. Do not overfill the jar; always use the appliance with the lid on. The stainless steel cutting blades are very sharp – be very careful when emptying and cleaning the jar. Do not use the soup maker if the blades are damaged. Avoid contact with moving parts of the appliance, keep hands, utensils and other objects out of the jar when a programme is running or the product is in operation (except for the enclosed tamper which is placed into the jar of an operating appliance through the opening in the lid). Do not move an operating appliance and never touch the moving parts. Do not suspend the power cord onto any sharp or moving object. Do not operate the product if the jar is empty; process all food and drinks only after adding the required amount of liquids.
Avoid water from spilling on the connectors of the appliance to avoid damage.
Use exclusively original accessories.
