Salimeter Accura
a Reducing excessive salt intake The safe daily salt intake of an adult person indicated by the World Health Organisation is between 4 and 5 grams – approximately one teaspoon. In fact, the actual intake is often up to three times higher. Exceeding the safe daily dose increases the risk of developing cardio- vascular diseases, osteoporosis, obesity, kidney disease and stomach cancer. Salimeter ACCURA gives you a permanent control over the amount of salt you use in soups, sauces and liquid food. When cooking, add salt only up to “low-salt” (orange control light flashing) or “moderately salted” (green control light on); use fresh herbs and spices to season your food. To permanently reduce exces- sive salt intake, you should also significantly reduce the consump- tion of oversalted food such as smoked meat, savoury pastries, salty cheeses, instant and ready-to-eat food and drinks with high sodium content. Instead of using salt, let the natural taste of your food be brought out. Salimeter ACCURA has been developed in co-operation with di- etitian MUDr. Robert Urbánek and nutrition specialist Mgr.
