GETTING READY FOR USE Before first use, clean the inside of the cooking pot, steaming rack, lid, and the top surface of the grilling plate with a damp cloth, then dry them. Brush the non-stick surface inside the cooking pot and the top surface of the grilling plate with a thin layer of cooking oil, then wipe with a paper towel. Before connecting the appliance to the mains, place the cooking pot (1) or the grilling plate (2) into the appliance unit, depending on the food being cooked. NOTICE: Always place the cooking pot or grilling plate into the base so that the heating coil contacts on the underside fit into the heating coil terminals in the appliance unit. For easy alignment, insert the pot or plate so that the black supports are positioned at the rear of the appliance unit and the light grey supports at the front of the appliance unit (3) .

CONNECTING TO THE MAINS Plug the power cord into a 230 V mains socket; the Switch On button

on the touch control panel will light up, indicating that the

appliance is ready for use in standby mode.

STARTING A PROGRAMME Touch the Switch On button on the control panel

. A beep will sound and the Programme Selection (MENU) button will light up. Select the desired programme for the food being cooked by repeatedly touching the button. The indicator lamp above the selected programme will flash for about 3 seconds, then remain steadily lit and heating will start (rotating dashed-line symbol). Three beeps will sound once the set temperature has been reached. The programme will start automatically, the display will show a cooking time countdown, and cooking will begin in the multi-cooker. PROGRAMMES FOR THE COOKING POT You can prepare food using all the available programmes in the cooking pot: Stewing/Cooking (STEW/COOK) Programme for stewing meat, vegetables and pulses, and for cooking meat, vegetables, side dishes, soups and sauces. The default temperature is 110 °C and the cooking time is 30 minutes. You can manually adjust both preset programmes within the range of 100 to 180 °C / 10 minutes to 4 hours. Use the lid as needed during stewing and cooking. Grilling/Frying (GRILL/FRY) Programme for preparing food fried in oil, in particular meat, fish, cheese, vegetables and side dishes. The default temperature is 210 °C and the cooking time is 1 hour. You can manually adjust both preset programmes within the range of 60 to 210 °C / 5 minutes to 2 hours. Do not use the lid for frying. Slow cooking (SLOW COOK) Slow cooking programme for preparing, for example, shredded or confit meat, goulash, strong stock, pulses and fruit dishes such as plum jam, and more. The default low temperature (Lo) is approx. 85 °C and the cooking time is 6 hours. You can manually adjust the temperature to a higher setting (HI) , approx. 95 °C, and the cooking time within the range of 15 minutes to 12 hours. Use the lid during slow cooking. Steaming (STEAM COOK) Programme for steaming food on the steaming rack in the cooking pot. Ideal for gently preparing vegetables, fish, seafood, meat, dumplings. The default cooking time is 3 hours. The default temperature (not shown on the display) cannot be adjusted, while the cooking time can be manually adjusted within the range of 15 minutes to 12 hours. Do not use the lid during steaming. NOTICE: Before starting the Steaming programme, place the steaming rack into the multi-cooker, place the food on the rack and pour an appropriate amount of water into the cooking pot, ensuring the water level does not exceed 1 cm below the rack (4) .
