WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or serious injury: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Before using the appliance, carefully read the information on the rating plate located on the underside of the appliance and check that the appliance voltage matches your mains supply voltage. Use the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. The appliance, and in particular the grilling plate, becomes very hot during use. Follow the instructions in this manual when operating the appliance. Do not touch the hot surfaces around the cooking pot or grilling plate with bare hands – risk of burns. Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area. To ensure sufficient air circulation, leave at least 10 to 15 cm of free space on all sides of the appliance. Do not place the appliance on a gas or electric cooktop, on or into a heated oven or near such appliances. Do not allow the product to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during its use. Do not move the product while it is connected to an electrical outlet. Allow the product to cool completely before handling it. Do not use attachments not recommended for use with this product or not sold by its manufacturer. Do not submerse the appliance in water. Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product as the power cord could fray and break. Keep the product and its power cord away from heated surfaces. Never operate this product if it has a damaged power cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or exposed to water or other liquids. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product. Do not use the product outdoors or for any purpose other than specified. Do not allow the power cord to hang where it may be tripped over or pulled (e.g. over the edge of a table or counter).
