SMALL HOLE FOR STEAM For comfortable cooking without overboiling and for straining vegetables cut into small pieces, beans, etc., place the cover onto the vessel so that the protruding ends of the handle are directed to the position on the grips of the vessel (pic. 2). Comfortable cooking without overboiling Set the cooker to low or medium output; an amount of steam which is sufficient for comfortable cooking without overboiling will continuously escape through the small hole between the vessel and the cover. Straining vegetables cut into small pieces Firmly squeeze the protruding ends of the handle of the cover in the grips of the vessel and strain the finely cut vegetables, beans, etc. (pic. 5). 3. LARGE HOLE FOR STEAM To strain potatoes, pasta, etc. and for intense cooking without overboiling, place the cover onto the vessel so that the protruding ends of the handle are directed to the position on the grips of the vessel (pic. 3). Straining potatoes, pasta Firmly squeeze the protruding ends of the handle of the cover in the grips of the vessel and strain the potatoes, pasta, etc. (pic. 6). Intense cooking without overboiling Set the cooker to medium or higher output; an amount of steamwhich is sufficient for intense cooking without overboiling will continuously escape through the large hole between the vessel and the cover. WARNING! For food that tends to create froth when cooked, such as pasta, stock, etc., set the output of the cooker to generate only a reasonable amount of foam. WARNING! The stainless steel parts of the cookware can be hot; use protective kitchen aids for straining – oven mitt, heatproof mat, etc. 4. SETTING THE COVER ASIDE Steam runs back into the vessel Place the cover in the hole in the grip of the vessel during the cooking process; steam runs back into the deep pot or casserole (pic. 4).
