OPENING (Figure 6) RELEASE PRESSURE INSIDE THE VESSEL ENTIRELY BEFORE OPENING THE PRESSURE COOKER! Push the operating valve armdown towards the lid surface using a fork or another suitable tool – steam begins to escape from the valve. Then pull the arm upwards to vertical position and wait until all steam escapes – the pressure cooker is ready for opening. Turn the lid handle over to the “open” position, incline the lid and remove it from the vessel. BE ALERT WHEN REDUCING PRESSURE AND OPENING THE PRESSURE COOKER TO AVOID THE RISK OF SCALDING. NEVER USE EXCESSIVE FORCEWHEN OPENING THE VESSEL! MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE SMEAR THE SEAL BELOW THE UPPER RIM OF THE VESSEL WITH COOKING FAT BEFORE EACH USE, AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. Wash the pressure cooker and wipe dry after each use . Never use aggressive chemicals, sand-based agents, sharp and hard objects or scourers for cleaning. If excessively soiled, leave to soak over night in water with detergent. The pressure cooker vessel is dishwasher safe, the lid is not ! Should white stains due to scale formation appear on the inside surface, use vinegar, lemon drops or cleansing agent for stainless steel to clean them. The white stains do not affect the functioning of the cookware and are not hazardous to health. As such they do not represent a fault and cannot be claimed. When the cooker is overheated, purple to brown stains might appear on the surface. These stains do not affect correct functioning of the cookware and are not hazardous for health. As such they do not represent a fault and cannot be claimed. Do not make any alterations to the operating and safety valves or the pressure cooker itself. If a part needs to be replaced such as the pressure cooker sealing etc., use solely original spare parts . ALWAYS STORE THE PRESSURE COOKER OPEN! WARRANTY A 5-year warranty period applies to this product from the date of purchase. The warranty never covers defects: – due to improper use incompatible with the INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE – resulting from unauthorised repairs and alterations to the product or the use of other than original spare parts – resulting from an impact or fall.
