Place the electric kettle with the power base onto a flat dry surface outside the reach of water, heat and steam and outside the reach of materials sensitive to heat and steam such as curtains. Grid connection Unwind the power cord from the power base, set the kettle onto the power base and plug the cord into the wall outlet. An audible signal will sound, the indicator lights will briefly go on and the kettle is ready for use. Filling Press the button on the handle to open the lid. Pour the required amount of water into the kettle, close the lid and set the kettle onto the power base. Notice: Always fill the kettle only with clean drinking water between the MIN (500 ml) and MAX (1,700 ml) marks. If the kettle is overfilled, hot water may spill over while using the kettle. Before first use Before first use, boil clean water in the kettle filled up to the MAX mark and discard the water.
