Digital rice cooker GrandCHEF

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

White Rice Programme for preparing white rice; the preset cooking time is 30 minutes.

Whole Grain Rice Programme for preparing whole grain rice; the preset cooking time is 45 minutes.

Notice: Because, in contrast to other programmes, the White Rice and Whole Grain Rice programmes require you to leave the rice to finish cooking without heat after it absorbs the water, the display will show the moving dashed lines heating symbol significantly longer than other programmes. This is also why the display does not show the full preset cooking time (30/45 minutes) after heating. Instead, it shows the remaining minutes needed to complete the program (for example, 8/20 minutes). Porridge Programme for preparing rice porridges and cereal porridges; the preset cooking time is 20 minutes. Notice: Follow the enclosed recipes when preparing milk porridges, as they may boil over when heated to high temperatures.

Steaming Programme for steaming and cooking food in steam; the preset cooking time is 5 minutes.

Cakes Programme for preparing selected cakes; the preset cooking time is 25 minutes. Useful hint: Brush the cooking pot with butter and line the bottom with baking paper before preparing cakes. Meat Meals Programme for preparing stewed meat, goulash, broths, and more; the preset cooking time is 30 minutes. Notice: The actual time of food preparation may differ from the preset programme time. It depends on the type, amount, initial temperature, and desired degree of doneness of the food being prepared. If you need to adjust the preset cooking time in the Porridge , Steaming , Cakes , and Meat Meals programmes, use the Cooking Time Adjustment function (see below). DELAY If you wish to delay the start of a selected programme, repeatedly touch the Delay button to set the delay time between 2 and 12 hours. Then touch the Start button, and the Delay function will be activated. The display will show the remaining time, and the selected programme will start automatically when the time elapses. COOKING TIME ADJUSTMENT If you wish to adjust the preset cooking time (not applicable to the White Rice and Whole Grain Rice programmes), repeatedly touch the Time button before starting the programme to set the cooking time. Notice: The adjusted cooking time is not saved in the rice cooker’s memory. If needed, adjust the cooking time again before starting the programme next time. KEEP WARM After a programme is completed, the rice cooker automatically switches to Keep Warm mode. The Warming touch button will be illuminated. The rice cooker will keep the cooked food at serving temperature for 12 hours, and the display will show the elapsed time. After 12 hours, an intermittent audible signal will sound, and the Keep Warm function will end automatically.
